That’s why I do what I do.
My name is Stephanie Blondet and I write to inspire creative entrepreneurs to live the life of their dreams by sharing my photography, travel guides and business/life tips.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been fascinated by creativity and photography. I much preferred going outside to play with my disposable camera, rather than playing with my friends. Growing up, I took photography, painting, dance, and design classes. And, as a teenager, I wanted to capture every moment of my life. I was the girl that all my friends would hide from because I wanted to take pictures of everything. I remember having a scrapbook for every school year, one for my family photos, one for my travel photos, and one for my crafts because I wanted to be able to look back at my photos. I enjoyed creating digital albums when that became a thing because I wanted to create a story using my photography and put my design skills into practice.
During my college years, I had the opportunity to take what I learned during my photography classes in high school and take my skills to the next level. I worked as a freelance photographer for the local newspaper in Puerto Rico. I was hired to go to events that were sponsored by the newspaper to take lifestyle photos. I loved every moment of it! I was fascinated about telling a story with my photos and capturing moments about people enjoying their life. A photo to me is more than a pretty picture. It tells a story, it expresses a feeling, and it is something that we can cherish for the rest of our life.
Today, I focus on blogger/small business owners, travel, interiors, and product photography.
ABOUT THE BLOG...
StephanieBlondet.com is a lifestyle and travel blog where I share my photography, travel experiences and inspirations to live the life of my dreams. The goal of this blog is to inspire others to do the same. I want this little space to be a community where creative entrepreneurs can be inspired, share their experiences and help each other.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Washington, DC to work in the technology industry. I'm web developer by day, and a photographer/blogger by night and weekends.
When I'm not coding or taking pictures, you can find me exploring the streets in DC, the mountains in Virginia, or at some corner in the world.
ABOUT MY PRINTS...
I’ve always liked to play around with words and letters.
One of the reasons I bought a lot of notebooks as a kid was to use them to write out motivational quotes. Every time I read a quote that inspired me, I would write them in my notebooks. I’ve always been a believer that if you keep positive thoughts, good things will come to you.
About a year ago, I decided to improve my lettering skills and I bought brush pens and calligraphy nibs to practice. This practice turned into an obsession and now I practice my lettering almost daily. You can see my journey (and follow it) on my Instagram account.
I want to share that motivation and inspiration with YOU. That’s why I’ve decided to sell my hand lettered quotes, available as instant prints, ready for download right now.
ABOUT MY HANDMADE NOTEBOOKS...
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been obsessed with journals. There was just one problem: I couldn’t find a design I loved.
Sure, there were lots of pretty journals at the bookstore, but I couldn’t seem to find one that spoke directly to me.
That’s when I decided to try my hand at designing my own journals.
I began designing my journals for myself.
Then, my mom asked me to create one for her.
My love of creating abstract paintings on handmade notebooks continued to grow, and during graduate school, I developed my first online store as a class project. That store was called Shades of Color Art.
I consider my notebooks to be “Dream Notebooks.” I want everyone who picks up one of my notebooks to fill them with their dreams, ideas and motivation. to become the women they want to be.
